My Cata chimney has almost no suction now — can it be brought back?
In most cases yes. Faded suction is usually caked filters plus a greasy blower wheel; occasionally a tired capacitor. We measure airflow before and after so the improvement is clear.
Do you replace the carbon filters in a recirculating Cata hood?
Yes. Carbon filters cannot be washed effectively — on recirculation models we replace them and advise a replacement interval based on your cooking.
Can you convert my Cata hood from ducting to recirculation (or vice versa)?
Often, depending on the model and kitchen layout. The technician checks feasibility on-site and quotes for filters and any ducting changes.
